About "Amber Grains of Wave"

These selections are from a series of live solo improvisations with software instruments and processes I designed using Pd (a.k.a. Pure Data), a Free Open Source real-time graphical programming environment for music, video and graphics.

"Amber Grains..." is a collection of studies with my new Pd instrument "polygrainsynth", incorporating granular synthesis techniques into the mix of subtractive/FM sounds provided by an earlier instrument called "polywavesynth". Low pass and comb filtering, and occasional touches of reverb are the only additional processing (and that's all live, too).

You can't use it for commercial purposes without asking me first, and you can't make derivative works from it without asking me first. That said, I'm very open to collaboration, so if you want to do a remix or something, just ask.
